Crossing into Alaska
After a nice rest, we woke to a beautiful morning and ran, broke camp, then went to the hot springs. Eclipse was amazing! We wished we had more time here. We both enjoyed our soak. What a way to spend my birthday morning! After dragging ourselves away from the hot springs we went back into Whitehorse for our double-double at Tim Hortons and a visit to the oldest brewery in the Yukon, Yukon Brewing Company.

Glad we were in our vehicle.

This was going to be another long day as we were headed to Tok, AK. This section of highway was also noted as being rougher than the rest so we knew that it would take extra time. Crossing back into the US at Alcan went relatively smooth, but they took our clementines that we had purchased in the US at a Kroger (so it was fruit we purchased in the US that we were taking back into the US that Canadian Customs knew we had and did not take but, whatever). Saying that this section of highway was rough is a bit of an understatement. But we made it.
We arrived late in Tok and discovered that the section of Alaska highway took a toll on the camper. Nothing awful but a beer can leaked, the lid of the toilet treatment solution (biodegradable but concentrated) popped off and spilled in the sink, the stove cover came off and was on the floor (we have no idea how it did not break), and other random things were jostled around. They were all able to be taken care of but after being on the road for another long day, we just wanted to relax, eat, then sleep.
It could have been worse.

Tok RV Village campground was great. Level sites, clean showers and bathrooms, hot water, and a convenience store.
